Keto Tracker AI vs My Keto

My Keto has been around longer. It advertises 20,000+ keto dieters and "since 2019 trusted keto tracking". Keto Tracker AI is new, and it has no rating and no user count to show yet.

The real difference is one decision: My Keto asks you to create an account, this one does not.

Side by side

Where My Keto is the better choice

Pick My Keto if the track record is what matters. Seven years of keto tracking is a real asset, and 20,000+ dieters is a bigger community than anything we have. If you want a proven app that has been doing this since 2019, that is the sensible choice.

Where Keto Tracker AI is the better choice

If you do not want an account. This is the whole difference, and it is not a small one. My Keto needs an account, so your meals, weights and photos are tied to a profile on their servers. Keto Tracker AI has no account at all, which means there is no profile for that data to be attached to in the first place.

If you cook from what you already have. Photograph the whole fridge and it reads the shelf back one item at a time, so you can correct anything it got wrong. From that list, the recipes and the week's meal plan cook from what is in the kitchen, and the list ticks down as you eat. My Keto does not do this.

If you want to know how solid each macro is. Curated rows are traced to a named USDA record and marked Verified; everything else is marked Estimated. The label is on the row.

If you also train. The workout log carries 185 movements with AI session suggestions, and food and training sit in the same app rather than two.

If you would rather pay a model directly. BYOK is $79.99 once. Your key stays in your device's keychain, requests go straight from your phone to xAI or MiniMax, and we see none of it.

What you give up

We should be straight about the trade rather than only listing the wins.

Questions people actually ask

Does Keto Tracker AI need an account, and does My Keto?

Keto Tracker AI needs no account, no sign-up and no email address. My Keto asks you to create an account, which is how it keeps your log. If having an email attached to your food diary is a deal-breaker, that is the difference that decides it.

Which app logs food faster?

They are close. My Keto describes photographing a plate, scanning a label or barcode, or just saying what you ate. Keto Tracker AI offers the same four routes — photo, barcode scan, type it, or say it — and adds fridge scanning, which reads your whole shelf and then cooks the recipes and the weekly plan from what is actually there.

Does Keto Tracker AI cost anything to use?

Every non-AI feature is free forever, with a one-time trial allowance of each AI feature. Pro is $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, and BYOK is $79.99 once for unlimited AI on your own key. Full pricing.

My Keto has been around since 2019. Does that matter?

It matters if you want proven longevity — My Keto advertises 20,000+ keto dieters and a track record going back to 2019, and Keto Tracker AI is new with no rating to show yet. Choose Keto Tracker AI if the no-account model matters more than the track record.

Can I get my data out of Keto Tracker AI?

Yes — CSV, PDF and JSON export through the normal share sheet, on every tier including free. Note the flip side: because nothing is stored on a server, deleting the app without exporting first means the log is gone.

Verdict

My Keto has the longer history and the bigger user base. Keto Tracker AI has no account, no email, a fridge that cooks the meal plan, and numbers that tell you how solid they are.

If an account is the thing putting you off, install it and start your first log — under a minute, nothing to sign up for. If you want the proven option, My Keto is a fine app and we would not talk you out of it.
